An Ear To Hear GOD: PROVERBS 7

John 14: 4-9

John 14: 4-9

Jn 14:4And where I am going you know the way. Jn 14:5Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going; how can we know the way? Jn 14:6Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. Jn 14:7If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and henceforth you know Him and have seen Him. Jn 14:8Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father and it is sufficient for us. Jn 14:9Jesus said to him, Have I been so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how is it that you say, Show us the Father?

PROVERBS 7

' My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you; ' PROVERBS 7:1

PROVERBS 7

Pr 7:1My son, keep my words, / And treasure up my commandments within you.

Pr 7:2Keep my commandments, and live; / And my teaching, like the pupil of your eye.

Pr 7:3Bind them on your fingers; / Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Pr 7:4Say to wisdom, You are my sister, / And call understanding your close friend,

Pr 7:5That they may keep you from the strange woman, / From the adulteress who flatters with her words.

Pr 7:6For at the window of my house / I looked out through my lattice,

Pr 7:7And I saw among the simple ones, / I discerned among the youths, / A young man lacking sense,

Pr 7:8Passing along the street near her corner; / And he takes the way to her house,

Pr 7:9In the twilight, in the evening of the day, / In the deep of night and darkness.

Pr 7:10And there comes a woman to meet him, / Dressed as a harlot and cunning of heart.

Pr 7:11She is rowdy and defiant; / Her feet do not stay at home —

Pr 7:12Now in the street, now in the squares, / And at every corner she lies in wait.

Pr 7:13And she grabs him and kisses him; / And with an impudent face she says to him,

Pr 7:14I had to make offerings; / Today I have paid my vows.

Pr 7:15Therefore I have come out to meet you, / To earnestly seek your presence; and I have found you.

Pr 7:16I have decked my couch with coverings, / Colored spreads of the linen of Egypt;

Pr 7:17I have sprinkled my bed with myrrh, / Aloes, and cinnamon.

Pr 7:18Come, let us drink our fill of love until the morning; / Let us delight ourselves with love.

Pr 7:19For my husband is not at home; / He has gone on a long journey.

Pr 7:20He has taken the money bag with him; / He will come home at the full moon.

Pr 7:21With her great persuasiveness she beguiles him; / With her smooth talk she compels him.

Pr 7:22He goes after her immediately, / As an ox goes to the slaughter, / Or as someone in fetters, to the correction of the fool,

Pr 7:23Until an arrow pierces through his liver. / As a bird hastens to the snare, / So he does not know that this will cost him his life.

Pr 7:24And now, my sons, listen to me, / And pay attention to the words of my mouth.

Pr 7:25Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways; / Do not stray into her paths.

Pr 7:26For many are those whom she has brought down wounded, / And numerous are all who have been slain by her.

Pr 7:27Her house is the way to Sheol, / Going down to the chambers of death.
